Golden State Injury Report

The Golden State Warriors will be without several key players this weekend, including Kevin Durant, Ime Udoka, and Robert Williams. The team is also without Marcus Smart, who is questionable for Game 1. If the Warriors are to win the series, the return of these players would be a big boost. However, if any of them do miss Game 1, it is still too early to predict who will play in the first two games.

Iguodala

Andre Iguodala is on the Warriors’ injury report. The center has been dealing with tightness in his lower back. He played less than six minutes per game since Jan. 21. The Warriors were hoping that Iguodala would be healthy for the postseason, but he’s had more than his share of injuries this season. Here’s what we know so far.

Porter

The Warriors have a small cushion in the series against the Mavericks and are expected to get their star center back in Game 4 on Thursday. They need Porter to limit the Grizzlies’ transition offense and outrebound their athletic opponents to win, and if Porter is not able to play, the Warriors could have a tough time closing out the series on home court. If Porter is unable to play, the Warriors will likely turn to a reserve to fill in for him.

Payton

The Warriors are expected to have three of their key players available for the NBA Finals, including center Gary Payton. While the Warriors have yet to announce an official return date for any of the three players, they have stated that all three have been practicing this week. There is no official timetable for the trio’s return. Payton and Iguodala have not played since the opening round. The Warriors will be grateful to have both players available for the finals.

Green

The latest Golden State Green injury report has the star forward looking for a return in the next seven to 10 days. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has said that he remains optimistic about Green’s return, as he has been working with his rehab. According to the Warriors’ injury report, Green has been playing on the court for about a week and a half and has been shooting a lot. However, it is unknown if Green will play against the Pacers or the Grizzlies.

Otto Porter Jr.

The Golden State Warriors are set to play Game 4 against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night, but they could be without one of their top players, forward Otto Porter Jr. Porter is questionable for Game 4 after suffering a foot injury in Game 3 on Sunday. Porter underwent X-rays on his foot, but the results were negative. Porter will be evaluated by Stanford Medicine orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Oji.

Marcus Smart

The Boston Celtics have listed their Defensive Player of the Year, Marcus Smart, as a probable for Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors. Smart has been dealing with nagging injuries to his foot, ankle and right leg, but his injury report for Game 3 is relatively clear. Although Smart’s name has been missing from the injury report for the past two games, his presence will be a huge help against the Warriors’ star, Stephen Curry.

Robert Williams

Boston Celtics center Robert Williams is questionable for Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors. He has been dealing with a sore left knee all postseason and didn’t look 100 percent when he was on the court Friday. Although his injury is a concern, he is expected to play, according to Boston coach Ime Udoka. Despite the soreness in his knee, Williams is optimistic about his status.
